Based in Leven, Field View CL site is surrounded by local amenities and things to do.

Leven has two pubs, a shop which sells all your basic needs, a butchers and bakery to buy some nice fresh food, a takeaway and even a beauty salon, hair dressers and a barbers. And all these things are in walking distance!

In terms of walks, there are lots nearby in the village. Leven canal is a lovely part of the village where you can walk all the way around, or just part way if you don’t fancy going as far. You will see lots of nature such as ducks and swans and there is also the opportunity to do some fishing there. Want to go a bit further? By walking past Leven and going through Little Leven you can walk straight up to the airfield. Here you can take a seat at the Flier Cafe and grab a drink or something to eat as well as watching the planes go by. You can even take a flying lesson if you fancy it.

A short distance away you can find Brandesburton. This is a 5 minute drive or around a 40 minute walk which is lovely if you have the time. You can go through a public footpath and then walk along the footpath beside the main road to get the rest of the way there. In Brandesburton you can find Berts, a lovely Italian restaurant. Next to Berts is Dacre Lake on which you can partake in some fishing, some water sport activities, such as windsurfing, kayaking and paddle boarding, and even a golf club which you can play on. Brandesburton also contains some local shops such as another shop and a butchers as well as a fish and chip shop. It also has another golf club which you can find on the left of the main road when you are entering Brandesburton from Leven. Down Hempholme Lane in Brandesburton you can find Billabong. Billabong is the home of water sports where there are multiple different things you can choose to do in the water.

A short drive away of 6 miles you can find Hornsea. Hornsea is a seaside town where you can take a nice walk on the beach, visit the shops and make a stop for some fish and chips or ice cream. Hornsea has a number of pubs and restaurants to enjoy a nice evening meal as well as an East Riding Leisure Centre where you can attend gym classes and go swimming. It also has Hornsea Freeport. There you can find a number of different shops as well as some nice cafes for a sit down.

Just before you get to Hornsea you will see a sign on the left for Honeysuckle Farm. This farm is open between the end of April to the beginning of September. Here you will be able to see many different farm animals as well as feeding some too. There are stacks of hay bales to climb on, daily cart rides to show you around the farm, a woodland play area including teepees, and a nature walk to explore as well. It is the perfect day out to go and explore.

 

Want to do some shopping? By going 6 miles the other way you can find Beverley. Beverley is a bustling market town with a number of high end shops to look in. In Beverley you can also find many pubs and restaurants to enjoy a nice drink or meal, or lots of little cafes for a nice break and a sit down. Beverley also has an East Riding Leisure Centre where you can attend gym classes or go swimming.

Just a bit further, around 13 miles away, you will find yourself in Hull. Hull is the City of Culture with plenty to do and see there. There are a number of high end shops as well as lovely restaurants, pubs and cafes. Not only this, but there are also multiple museums and history places to visit and explore.
